Daily Laminate Care
Laminate maintenance is a routine and simple task. By setting up a basic care routine, you can ensure that your tile floors look great for many years.
Laminate care revolves around actively sweeping your floors. By investing in a quality broom and putting it to use on a regular basis, you are actively helping to remove dirt and other debris that can harm your laminate, causing scratches, scuffs, and so on. How often you need to sweep will depend on the amount of foot traffic within the room in question, but plan on doing so every couple of days.
Encourage your guests to remove their shoes before walking on your tile floors as well. Entry mats will also help!
Dealing With Spills & Stains
Laminate is a fairly durable and easy-to-care-for flooring option. With laminate, messes are not a major issue, so long as you address them immediately after the take place. When and if a liquid accident occurs, the key is to wipe it up quickly to minimize damage to your tile and the flooring beneath. For solid spills, you can sweep those up with a broom. The longer you wait, the more likely your laminate or the subflooring beneath is to take on damage.
When in doubt about how to handle a mess, consult your manufacturer.
